I'm Heath Sample. I have over 8 years of experience in the graphic design and marketing industry, along with over 15 years of selling custom artwork. I'm currently located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
In my free time, you can find me backcountry skiing, climbing, backpacking, boating, or working with the Summit County Rescue Group on a mountain rescue mission.

Drawing and painting have been passions of mine since I was very young. I was painting my first commission requests since age 16. As a perfectionist, my style began as an extreme realism approach; I would replicate the subject on my medium like a photograph. Over the years I have slowly evolved this realism style with abstract texture and color, creating a combination of realistic portraits conveyed with a dynamic visual personality. Exploring color combinations has kept my pieces fresh, I aim for every finished painting to have a unique palette from any other I have done.
